CD or DVD Replication Services offered by PacificDisc
- DVD-5 replication - a single-sided, single-layer disc with a capacity of 4.7 billion bytes, suitable to most jobs with less than 2 hours of content.
- DVD-9 replication - a single-sided, dual-layer disc with a capacity of 8.54 billion bytes, most commonly used to more complex projects, or when there is more than 3 hours of content.
- HD DVD replication - a single layer capacity of 15 GB or a dual-layer capacity of 30 GB. Toshiba has announced that a triple-layer disc is in development, which would offer 45GB of storage. These discs are no longer being offered since Toshiba announced they were dropping the format in Jan 2008.
- Blu-Ray replication - these discs are available in both single and dual layers (BD-25 & BD-50), holding approx 25Gb to 50Gb in data. In addition, there many other strengths in the authoring process allowing much interactivity to the end-user.
- CD duplication/replication - a single-sided, single-layer disc with a capacity of 650Mb, most commonly used for audio recordings. A typical CD can store up to 74 minutes of audio at 44.1Khz sample rate and is widely accepted as the industry standard.
- Bulk or Large Volume CD or DVD replication - fully printed and are shipped on spindles, without cases.
- CD or DVD Packaging - shelf-ready, in high-quality Amaray-style case with full-color, full-bleed sleeves printed on a commercial press and professionally overwrapped.
- CD or DVD Sleeves - typically packaged in 5" cardboard sleeves and polywrapped. But can also be packaged in zip mailers, which are ideal for mailed marketing materials, or promo discs (screeners).
- All CD/DVD replication/duplication orders include electronic proofs of disc face and covers. Hard proofs are available at extra costs. Replication is the "traditional" way to manufacture DVDs by stamping discs out of molten plastic on a high-capacity press
